When on that Cross it was me and you
It was quite shameful and painful for Jesus to be on that cross, it was wasn’t easy,
However Christ bore all that because of me and you.
The only person who crisscrossed his mind at that time, it was me and you. What a big love from God.
We may not know how much it took him to be on that cross,
And even when we think, we will never know the cost he had to pay to rip off curses and sin from us.
It is a privilege and a pleasure to know that he even cried out to the father in pain and great anguish but he never gave up.
Do we even know what he went through when the soldiers were beating him with those hooks? No we don’t, even know what that crown of thorns made him to feel.
He was made to feel low and yet he was the son of God.
He decided to humble himself down all because of you and me.

Beyond what we ask
God has set himself to do exceedingly above what we pray or even ask. In the example of Abraham, he asked and really prayed hard to be just a father of a son, but God had greater plans. To Abraham, this was the best he could ask from God, he really waited and waited not knowing the divine plan the almighty God had.
In our lives also, we have what we want God to do to us. We have our prayers, but from this example, we can derive that God is ready to do exceedingly above what we ask and pray for.
It’s true that at times we wait and wait for our prayers to be answered, but when it seems not to be working, we almost lose hope. However, when Abraham was praying that God should give him a son, he was getting him ready to be that father of all nations. He had not foreseen and when he was told to look at the sky and count the stars, perhaps he thought it’s a dream.
But in the real sense, that’s what God has in store for us.

God is able to do exceedingly above

God is able to do exceedingly above
When Abraham was just praying to be given a son, just to be made a father of a son, God was preparing him to be the father of nations. All he could have in his mind was just a son. He even went to the extent of taking Haggai who gave birth to Ishmael because God seemed to be taking long.
The Bible later in Matt 1:2 says, “and Abraham begot Isaac.” This gives proof of a God who is never late or never hurries. It is quite surprising that all the time Abraham and Sarah had been sorrowful, our God who sees tomorrow before it comes, saw the book of Matthew being written that Abraham had a son.
The God, who by the power of spoken word created the earth, is able to do exceedingly above.
When we think we have asked enough, when we think we have prayed for something so big, He always gives us more than we can ever imagine. When we may be praying for a certain breakthrough, and we have prayed, we always guess that the blessings will come in that proportion. But most of the times, they bypass and overflow.
God’s blessings are not limited to what we pray but to what he has in Heaven. Sometimes when we ask for a job, we think the lord will hear us and just give us a job, but beyond that He gives a job which is more satisfying to us.
Though at times sorrow strikes and all we can feel is like, God are you there? But there is always an assurance when we have called him, He hears us.
Even before we got into that problem, He had our lives in his mind and planned for it. He says and I know the plans that I have for you. Though a dead end may come knocking, there is the good work He has started in us. And He is ready to finish.
Imagine of that time when you did not know how to pray, that time you never knew that there is God, that time you never knew the much He can do. Is it not surprising that he still took good care of you, though you never prayed or even cared. That tells us God is not restricted to what we pray but he blesses according to the stores in heaven.
In the times of confusion and great suspense, when the Israelites had no way, he made a way in the sea. He is able to command anything on this earth to bless us. He is able to do Exceedingly Above.
Nothing can stop him. The same way he saw the lives of Israelites progressing he has also seen us prospering. He is more than we can imagine, he has more than we can ask for.

God's surprise package
Iread the book of Jeremiah 33:3 and it blew my mind off when I discovered the pack of promises and wonders that God was giving to the Israelites when they call unto him.
It says, ‘call unto me and I will show you wonderful and marvelous things which you have not seen’. Let’s look at this part which talks about being shown things they had not seen.
Remember, the Israelites came from Egypt and God took them through the wilderness where they witnessed great and mighty things.
They had seen and known the faithfulness of God in fulfilling what he had promised that he would at last get them out of Egypt, they saw him make a way in the sea and witnessed their enemies getting defeated.
Moreover, they witnessed provision of manna and also provision of water from a rock. What a package of miracles.
Nevertheless, many years later, the same God says, call unto me and I will show you what you have not heard and not seen. At this point it startles my mind of what kind of things God could be promising them now that they had seen such mighty things.
If the Israelites were being promised something far much above what they had seen, the same applies to us. He is ready to show us mighty and unknown things when we call unto him.
This is love of God, this is how much you are loved, that yes, you might have seen many things, but the lord is saying, I will show you things that you have not seen or heard. You might have gone through struggles but the faithful lord is saying that he will show you marvelous things in his word.
God is getting ready the unseen and the unheard things. We might have experienced the love of messiah in great depth but now every time we pray, the word is telling us that he will show us mighty things that we have not seen.
And you know what, the lord is faithful he will fulfill all that he promised. He has never failed and he won’t fail in this too.

What a God with all this love
Beyond our small dreams and expectations
Every human has dream and desires to be achieved in this life. However, when everything does not turn to the expected side one feels discouraged and bad about it. This is because there was some expectancy that figured out the big dream and longed for it to come true.
This life however is directed by God whose thoughts are not our thoughts. Whose ways are far away from ours like the heaven is from the earth. He says in the holy book that he knows the plans he has for us. So we have to at times relax and believe even when it doesn’t seem practicable in our own ways as he knows the plans he has for us.
Moreover, God uses such chances to uplift us to where he wants us to be.
In the Bible, a story is told of Jacob who went to his father and took the blessings that belonged to him. He faced the consequences of this as Esau went looking for him to kill him. He went and desperately sought employment at the uncle’s place.
However, it is through this chance that he met his two wives and even got a lot of wealth. Sometimes when we think it is over and we are destined to fade out of the good life, God is taking that chance to uplift us.

The boy who never paid high school fees...
When he passed his class eight papers, he was scheduled to attend a boarding school which during those times was a high class high school. But in the midst of trying to swallow the reality and also look for ways to get the school fees which the family was unable to raise, a neighbor came with an idea.
As a friend, the neighbor thought this could help dissolve their fears. But on the contrary, the neighbor made a paining proposal. Because he was rich and the daughter had not received a letter to join the high class high school he thought swapping could be better.
In his argument, the neighbor said that because family of the sharp boy was not able to pay for the school fees required by the school it would be better for them to exchange as according to the family financial strength, they could only afford to pay the fees required by the day school. So as per the plans of the neighbor, the bright boy was to go to a day school where his daughter had received a letter of admission and his daughter to go to the boarding school where the boy was to be admitted.
However, the father declined and the determined boy finally enrolled in the boarding school. Now funny enough according to the worldly vocabulary, they could not raise the fees. But when put in the right terms, the family took a step of faith and as he would say it, the mother only gave him a Ksh100bob for fare. That is all they could afford.
As time went by, the boy had a huge fees balance but he could not get sent home. Every time the list was read out, he missed out a midst fears as he knew fees was not paid yet. This happened until he was done with form four. Of how this happened, it is still a mystery. But in remembrance of Jeremiah 33.3, this is Gods doings.
"That he will answer by showing great and mighty things which we do not know."
Now he finished and joined campus and never paid the school fees balance. When he got out of campus, he got a job and when the 'coins accepted his pocket', he went and cleared the balance.
He now recounts of his story and only sings one song….This far the lord you have brought me…

Day’s Dose: get the dose

Day’s Dose:-
When Abraham was praying to be the father of a son the lord was preparing a chance for him to be the father of nations.
In this context, we can learn that when we are weak and feel that everything is against us, we should refer to that story and get strengthened because God is preparing something big, he already working on it, he saw it before it happened.
When we may be praying about something, God is getting ready something bigger.

In Jeremiah 33:3, he says he has hidden things for us, we just have to keep in touch and it will be high-end joy for us.
